Boy Scout Troop 609

Boy Scout Troop 609 is sponsored by First ARP Church of Statesville and meets at our outdoor Facility called the "Scout Camp" located on Davie Avenue.

A very detailed history of Boy Scout Troop 609 from the year 1978 is available upon request. Troop 609 has produced over 65 Eagle Scouts and has accomplished many awards to include the Gemstone District Achievement Award in the years 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2007. Also there is an extensive history of Summer Camp Awards, Quality Unit/Centennial Quality Unit/Journey to Excellence Achievements. In 2018 two patrols- Cobras and Pathfinders were named to the National Honor Patrol, and the Pathfinders in 2018 were recognized as Troop 609 Patrol of the year.

The First ARP Church is very proud of Boy Scout Troop 609 and all of their many accomplishments in serving young men of this community in the rich traditions of Scouting.
